Jerry and I took James for a walk down to the river on Saturday. We didn't get very far, however. The flood stages we were at a few weeks ago (with all the snow melting, rain, and then freezing temperatures and more snow) raised the river over the banks. What remains is what you see. Thick slabs of ice, 12-inches or more, heaped in piles as they broke and floated down the river. Pretty impressive, I thought.
Isn't snow and ice beautiful?
Some of the ice remains frozen in the branches of the weeping willow tree.
