OH CANADA!!!
Opa, Oma, Uncle Antoni and Mr. James...
James and I (Bernice) took a trip up to visit my family in Canada. It took 9 hours of driving to get there and with some stops, it took a total of 11 hours. James was remarkably good for the first 8 hours both ways! He would fuss a bit, but then settle down to sleep. But by the time 8 hours had passed, he was over it. Then the tears and the wails for mercy ensued. My poor boy. But we had fun visiting all the family. Some who had never seen my little guy before! Above is my mom cuddling Mr. James. So sweet.
Elena Antoinette... she just turned 1 on April 23. She's my sister Angeline's little girl and this is the first time I was able to see her! Isn't she a doll? She looks alot like her daddy - Dave, but has Angeline's eyes.
Because I love to give a little something to all my kids in Canada... So I found them kazoos at the Cracker Barrell (what a fabulous store). They got a kick out of them and so did I... unfortunately their parents were not so very thrilled. On Sunday morning, Anne Marie told me her kids were marching around the house playing "Oh Canada!" on their kazoos. What good patriotism, eh?
All the grandkids of my parents lined up. Just so you know, they don't dress like this all the time. Aren't they darling?
James and his cousin Samuel, playing together Sunday afternoon. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
